North Dakota

September 7, 2011.  Day 7 of roadtrip.

We crossed into North Dakota.  Rest of the drive in Minnesota was beautiful - truly a state of 10,000 lakes. We saw so many while driving.

In North Dakota,  off I-94,  we stopped to see the world's largest buffalo (a statue of course, not a real one, although we did see real buffalo in the field near the statue).  This wad in Jamestown, ND, also known for where Louis L'Amour is from - a western author.

Very odd driving through and being in such a rural area.  Fresh crisp air. It's a nice change of pace.

  1. only you could find the only cool thing about ND- we were always told to avoid ND when we were living in South Dakota. <3
